This document presents the cultivation tests conducted by Plant and Environment Practice Research, Mushroom sector (PPO Mushrooms) that have increased knowledge about the optimization of cultivation of special mushrooms. In particular, for the nitrogen content in the substrate, some species appear to have an optimum. To suit the nitrogen content of the substrate, several substances have been found suitable. The research also reveals that the cultivation of special mushrooms is possible in systems that can be easily automated. And information has been obtained which species can be grown in the same space. These aspects indicate that it is possible to scale up the cultivation of special mushrooms and to match the demand of the market.
