Description:
Researchers from the Irrigation and Crop Ecophysiology group of the Institute of Natural Resources and Agrobiology of Seville (IRNAS), of the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), have demonstrated the benefits, in terms of profitability, water saving capacity and reliability, of Precision irrigation methods in commercial plantations. After analysis, specialists have concluded that these systems, in addition to improving the production of certain crops and reducing water consumption by up to 50%, require little specific training on the part of the farmer and are therefore accessible for any type of user.
